Pine Barrens Whisky Single Malt (750ml) Cabernet Sauvignon first-fill sherry casks and peat-smokedDistilled from beer and aged for one year in new oak casks, this small batch whisky is bright and distinctly fruity. The aroma is mild, mixing caramel with a hint of red fruit. The plush palate shows more red fruit and black cherry, drying to cocoa, leather, oak, black pepper, cayenne and clove. Quite a bit of dilution is needed to bring down the alcohol sting, which unfortunately fades out the lovely fruit and brings a more generic vanilla profile
